We have bigger houses but smaller families;
(私たちは大きな家を持つようになった、しかし家族構成は小さくなった)

more conveniences, but less time;
(利便性は飛躍的に向上したが、しかし時間はなくなった)

We have more degrees, but less sense;
(私たちは多くの学位を得たが、感覚が鈍ってしまった)

more knowledge, but less judgement;
(多くの知識を得たが、判断することが出来なくなってしまった)

more experts, but more problems;
(専門家は増えたが、問題も多くなった)

more medicines, but less healthiness;
(医療は発達したが、不健康な人間が増えた)

We've been all the way to the moon and back,but have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbour.
(私たちは月へ行き戻る事が出来るようになった、しかし道を渡ることが困難になり、新しい隣人に会うことも難しくなった)

We built more computers to hold more information to produce more copies than ever;but have less communication;
(私たちは多くのコピーを産み出す為に、情報を格納するコンピュータを開発したが、コミニケーションが少なくなってしまった)

We have become long on quantity,but short on quality.
(私たちは量的には満たされたが、質が高いものは少なくなった)

These are times of fast foods but slow digestion;
(ファーストフードの時代だが、消化は遅くなってしまった)

Tall man but short character;
(身長は伸びたが、心の余裕はなくなった)

Steep profits but shallow relationships.
(利益は躍進したが、人間関係は綻びだらけだ)

It is time when there is much in the window,but nothing in the room.
(様々なモノや情報、人が私たちの周りに溢れているが、人生で残るものがなくなってしまう時代だ)
